Over the past month, Avellana Gold has carried
out a number of activities for infrastructural and environmental improvements
in the Muzhievo village in the Transcarpathian region, where the company
operates.
Ecological water filters replacement
Avellana Gold has replaced the zeolite filters
for wastewaters in the Muzhievo village with new ones. The filters were
restored to purify rain and meltwater coming down from the hills in the
village. The company purchased about 4 tons of zeolite, which is placed in
special environmental water filters in front of the ditches that accumulate
wastewater in Muzhievo. Since zeolite is a well-known absorbent, it absorbs
harmful elements and passes already purified water, so that these elements do
not enter the general hydrographic network.
Infrastructural improvements
The
company helped with road repairs in Muzhievo village. Together with the local
asphalt plant, 80 m of the road was cleared and asphalted. Also, the company
cleared 300 m of the road with a grader and leveled ditches and pits to make
the road passable and comfortable for villagers and vehicles.
Radioactivity test
Avellana Gold analyzed the samples from the
Muzhievo polymetallic field for radioactivity. According to the results of the
analysis, samples of ores from the deposit meet radiological standards. The
inspection was carried out by the testing center of the Volyn branch of the
State Soil Protection State Institution.
