Avellana Gold continues to implement its strategy of systematic support for the professional growth of young specialists, contributing to the development of high-quality human capital for the future of the industry.

As part of their educational internship, third-year students from the Orest Matkovskyi Department of Mineralogy, Petrography, and Geochemistry of the Faculty of Geology at Ivan Franko National University of Lviv visited the production facilities at the Muzhievo deposit. The visit was made possible through close coordination between Andriy Smolin, Head of Avellana Gold's Ukrainian representative office, Iryna Suprun, founder of the Geological Investment Group, and the faculty leadership.

The educational visit program was designed to demonstrate the full cycle of deposit development to the students – from scientific modeling to the production of concentrate. As the Muzhievo deposit is a unique volcanogenic-hydrothermal object, students had a rare opportunity to observe various types of ore and associated mineralization in their natural environment.

Mykhailo Kostyuchenko, Avellana Gold Chief Geologist and LNU alumnus, conducted a detailed field tour dedicated to the geological structure of the deposit. A particularly memorable moment for the students was the demonstration of samples of Muzhievo gold concentrate.

At the processing plant, Kyrylo Serbin, Chief Technologist, introduced the future colleagues to the ore processing workflow and presented samples of galena concentrate.

Modern mining methods were presented by Vladyslav Trashliev, Head of Geological Projects at Avellana Gold, and Ihor Slivinskyi, company representative, PhD candidate at the Department of Mineralogy, Petrography and Geochemistry, and LNU graduate. They demonstrated the application of block modeling at the deposit, which enables the optimization of extraction and resource efficiency.

In addition to the practical experience, the visit had significant scientific value. Ihor Slivinskyi donated unique mineral specimens to the department's teaching collection and the Yevhen Lazarenko Mineralogical Museum, providing a foundation for research by future generations of geologists.

"Supporting students today means contributing directly to the sustainable development of the mining and geological industry tomorrow. We are pleased to share our experience in implementing international operational standards in Ukraine and to see sincere interest in the profession among the next generation of geoscientists," company representatives stated.

Avellana Gold extends its appreciation to the faculty and students of Ivan Franko National University of Lviv for their active interest in production processes, as the synergy of academic knowledge and practical application is the foundation of innovation and responsible environmental stewardship.
